For 2014 a secondary school in Russia includes:
- a primary school: the first four grades (6–11 years old);
- a basic school: from the fifth to ninth grades (10–16 years old);
- a high school: grades 10th–11th (15–18 years old).
Parents must to place a child in first grade in 6 or 7 years old.
The schools often include pre-school education currently, which was traditionally presented kindergartens.
In Yumas kindergarten is a division of Yumas Secondary School now. The position of head of kindergartens in Yumas and in Yamki was named Deputy Director of preschool education. Village Yamki is located from the hamlet Yumas at a distance of 10 km. Pupils of Yumas and of Yamki attend classes in the school building in Yumas since the first grade. The school bus and the minibus transfer pupils from Yamki to the lessons.
Pupils get hot meals in the school: breakfast and lunch. Children from poor families are provided food free of charge, at the expense of budgetary funds.
The school enrolls little more than a hundred pupils.
