Last bell, 2014


The last bell is a traditional ceremony in Yumas Secondary School. The date usually falls on 25 May, but at the 2014 it fell on 23 May, on Friday. On this day the schoolgirls of the 11th grade have the classic school uniform on. A symbolic last school bell is rung, by a top graduate and a first-grader.

This ceremony in Yumas school includes speeches Director, first teachers (from Yumas and Yamki), guests, parents, greeting first-graders, poems and songs graduates. Graduates invite teachers and parents to waltz. There is contrast to urban schools, where this ceremony is more regulation.

Then graduates go into the open air. They launch colored balloons and plant trees in the Alley of the Graduates.
